About the Role
Atriano is seeking a seasoned Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead embedded software initiatives for next-generation 5G radio units (RU). This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys working across software, hardware, and systems teams. You will help architect and deliver embedded solutions while shaping the growth of the embedded software function.
Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering;
Strong foundation in RF, analog, and mixed-signal design;
Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation;
Experience using lab instruments: spectrum/network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies;
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
Hands-on experience in lab environments
Key Responsiblities
Characterize and validate RF systems to meet 5G performance targets;Perform hands-on system-level testing, root cause analysis, and issue resolution;Support test campaigns across various environmental and signal conditions;Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline test procedures;Analyze test data to evaluate performance and identify optimizations;Generate technical reports, visualizations, and documentation;Contribute to design and prototyping of RF subsystems within open-RAN units;Assist with schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and initial bring-up activities;Collaborate with firmware, systems, and production teams throughout the development cycle;Participate in technical reviews and lab activities (e.g., soldering, hardware debugging)
